Pneumax has seized this opportunity by integrating the skills of AutomationWare, a company specializing in electric actuation, into its portfolio. The result is a complete range of linear axes, electric cylinders and modular slides, capable of guaranteeing precision, compactness and total movement control, even in complex and high-load applications. Today, simply presenting a new product is no longer enough; it’s essential to convey the company’s essence, the distinctive skills that define its business approach, and its strategic vision for the future. In this sense, the exhibition methods are also evolving. 09 • AW ELECTRIC ACTUATION Following the acquisition of AutomationWare, Pneumax presented not only its product range, but also the expertise now integrated into the Group. Three demos showcased the company’s design approach: a hexapod with six interpolated electric cylinders for high-precision movements; a SCARA system with fast, flexible slides; and a pick & place gantry combining electric axes for the XY plane, an electric cylinder for the Z axis, and a pneumatic gripping system, demonstrating the ability to implement different technologies in a single solution. • AIRPLUS DIGITAL FLOW SENSOR The new compressed air flow meter Airplus Series allows real-time monitoring of flow, pressure, temperature and consumption. The demo used at SPS included a working circuit built with Airplus units that integrated various modules, including flow meters, Safeline safety valves, and two Optyma-S EVO solenoid valve manifolds. All of this was managed via a touchscreen to simulate different operating conditions in real time and interfaced with a digital twin of a complete machine: a concrete example of how intelligent monitoring generates value. • E-RANGE FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR Electric devices for clamping and locating sheet metal in Body in White processes (BIW). The demo, created in collaboration with MagSwitch and MURR (VarioX control and supply unit), highlighted the integration of Pneumax solutions into complex, high-tech equipment and the importance of condition monitoring functions for managing the production cycle. The application also highlighted the features related to safety aspects, the compact design and the possibility of simplifying wiring by eliminating dedicated cabinets. • EVO SOLENOID VALVES WITH PX ELECTRONICS The EVO range of solenoid valves is designed to combine reliability and flexibility in control systems; they can be interfaced with all major industrial protocols and are equipped with digital and analogue I/O. The drive dynamically controls the positioning of the brushless motor and is connected to the motor body and can be rotated 180° without the need to disassemble the devices. 16 Pneumax GmbH supports customers throughout the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) Initially located in Hanau, close to Frankfurt, the company moved to Gelnhousen in 2000. Rapid growth soon highlighted the lack of available space, leading to the start of construction of new headquarters in 2015, which became operational in 2017. Today, Pneumax GmbH premises consist of approximately 600 sqm of office space and approximately 2,300 sqm of warehouse, production and assembly space. Our modern storage system uses automated vertical warehouses, which allow for efficient and optimized space management. Since 1991 the German branch has been supporting customers with a comprehensive range of products and services. 20 Founded in 2019 through the acquisition of a historic local distributor, the Tuscan branch of Pneumax Group opened its headquarters on April 10th, welcoming customers, suppliers, and partners for an Open House event dedicated to innovation. The event was the occasion to officially present the new organization, the result of a significant growth and transformation process involving people, processes, and spaces. Without ever forgetting its past and its origins, Pneumax Toscana looks to the future with determination and a spirit of renewal. One of the strengths of the new headquarters in Sesto Fiorentino (Florence) is the production area, completely renovated and optimized with the introduction of Modula automated warehouses. This choice has allowed us to improve the efficiency of logistics activities, enhancing storage and reducing the margins of error in shipments. The workstations have also been redesigned to ensure greater ergonomics and employee well-being, through tools and devices designed to improve the quality of daily work. In keeping with the Group’s mission, which centres on the the development of people, Pneumax Toscana places great emphasis on both its employees and its customers.
